Armand has spent 23 years as a successful production artist in the computer games industry 
creating conceptual designs, background art, animation, and storyboarding. 
His clients included LucasFilm Games, Disney, Electronic Arts,
 Virgin Entertainment, Microsoft, Paramount Pictures, Wizards of the Coast, Totally Games, and Zynga.

Armand is represented by art galleries across the country. 
He has had 24 one-man exhibitions and his work is found in 
corporate and private collections around the world. 
Armand is the creator of a popular and informative blog Art and Influence.

Instructional Offerings

  • Classes, workshops, and demos (see schedule)
  • Private lessons. Tailored to each student’s needs; private lessons can be in the classroom or outdoors.  Classroom times are limited by availability. Outdoor painting can be any agreed upon time or place near the classroom including Shenandoah Park/Skyline Drive. A typical session will include instruction, demonstrations, and a critique as well as a follow-up practice plan emailed to the student after the session for further self-directed work. Armand is proficient in both wet and dry mediums including watercolor, acrylic, oils, pen and ink, charcoal and graphite. He will guide students and work out a practice plan for their particular goals as an artist.  $200 for a two-hour session. Longer sessions are also available.
  • Private Critiques. Critiques can be held in person at the classroom after scheduling directly with Armand. Students will be emailed a summary critique with suggestions for self-improvement based on the session.  $50 per 30 minute session.
